Site Balance Problem

JETIAir provides teams on large and small land development projects with the tools
to balance their jobs with the least amount of resources.

The Balance Problem

Many land development projects end up being short or long, and solving these problems in the late stage of the project may cost a lot of time and money.

Why it Happens:

  • Inaccurate original ground topography
  • Incomplete knowledge of what is underground and/or in the ground
  • Limited number of topography updates throughout the life of the project
  • Inconsistent Soil Types

Existing Solutions Don’t Work

Design Stage - Designing the site with a balance area to deal with the excess/shortage of dirt helps avoid the off-haul but not long-hauls AND Soil tests from a limited number of borings don't provide sufficient data to predict the behavior of dirt during grading

Construction Stage - Aerial or conventional topos are expensive and time consuming making them impractical to conduct on a regular basis to spot issues early on AND changes in design can ensure that site remains balanced throughout the life of the project.
